PepsiCo TPO tool Redesign

Project Overview

Total Portfolio Optimization (TPO) is a Holistic Cost Management tool that PepsiCo is using to track product performance. TPO focuses on growth, along with material waste reduction, and employs cross-functional features to improve the product’s performance during its whole lifecycle.

During this 12-week co-op project, we (the student team) worked with the team from PepsiCo closely: we focused on analyzing the effectiveness of the current solution, refining and redesigning the tool’s information architecture and user interface to enhance the user experience.

My Contribution

In this Co-op project, I mainly worked as a UX designer. I worked with my team members and our client. As for process sync, I took charge of around half of the weekly presentations to our clients. For the design part, I collaborate with my teammates from tool analysis and research to the later prototype implementation stage. Individually, I composed the whole interactive mid-fid prototype. And I redesigned and created the high-fid prototype for 2 of 5 parts of the TPO tool.
